Emeritus Professor John Drummond (Chair

John was Blair Professor of Music at the University of Otago from 1976 to 2014, and for three years was also a Dean in the University. He has extensive organizing experience locally, nationally and internationally.

 Professor Peter Adams 

Peter teaches at the University of Otago School of Performing Arts and is the conductor of the Dunedin Youth Orchestra (DYO) and St Kilda Brass Band.

Olive Butler is a violinist who studied classical performance at the University of Otago. She plays violin with the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, and with her band Laney Blue  

Nick Cornish  

 Nick is an itinerant woodwind teacher and professional oboe player. He is also in demand as a jazz saxophonist, and is musical director of the Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra.   

Louise Drummond is a private music teacher and member of the Otago Branch of the Institute of Registered Music Teachers (IRMTNZ).

Dr Heleen Du Plessis is a professional cellist and teacher who performs nationally and internationally and teaches both at the University of Otago School of Performing Arts and privately. She is the Artistic Director of Cellists of Otago.

Pieter Du Plessis is a former diplomat and a qualified and experienced marketer and photographer working as the Marketing Manager of the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra (DSO) and Chair of the Cellists of Otago.

 

Tom McGrath is a professional pianist and accompanist who works as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Music at the University of Otago School of Performing Arts.
